Tax Wars takes viewers behind the scenes of a global effort to put people before profits, hold multinationals accountable, and demand the world’s most powerful corporations and billionaires pay their fair share of taxes.
Along with world-renowned experts such as Joseph Stiglitz, Thomas Piketty, Eva Joly, Jayati Ghosh, Irene Ovonji-Odida and Magdalena Sepúlveda, this film will question the international agreement on the taxation of multinationals announced in October 2021 and due to come into effect by 2023, and highlight the mechanisms, underlying trends, and forces at work in the tax justice battle.
