</span><strong>August 17:</strong>  Meeting Point Norway-Alegria is part of the Global Music Network productions. In August, artists Hasna el Becharia (Algeria), Hannah Wozene Kvam (Norway/Ethiopia) and Malika met in Oslo: Becharia’s gnawa music combined with Kvam’s slam poetry and Malika’s electronic music sat the framework for a new musical experience that took place. Guests: Abdelghani Moussaoui (voice and carcabou), Safaa Al-Saadi (voice, Nai and Derboka), Ketil Kielland-Lund (keyboards) and Øystein Bergsvik (drums) at Cafeteatret, Hollendergaten 8, Oslo, 9pm &#8211; cc 100<br />
<strong>August 16:</strong> Lecture / jam session / club: On the occasion of Hasna el Becharia’s visit to Norway she held a lecture on her career and traditional music from the Sahara, where she grew up, including demonstrations on different traditional instruments such as gumbri and carcabo at Dattera til Hagen, Grønland 10, Oslo, 7pm followed by open jamsession  and club by DJ Brighteyes &amp; DJ Nefretiti. The piece is a part of a video work made for the relase of  the album <em>On Club</em> (2008) that gained  Honourable Mention at  the Oslo Screen Festival in 2010. It features the work of individuals who have moved to the Nordics from other countries, the exhibition will, through their paintings, photographs and sculptures, present a new and emerging Nordic identity.
